We at the Statesman work hard to give you news about Austin and Central Texas.

However, we also get pretty dang thirsty while we’re at it. Granted it isn’t nearly as hot anymore, but sometimes we like ice with our beverages and thirst-satisfying filtered water.

So, the Statesman’s ice machine has been broken for nearly two months. As this photo shows, we’re getting desperate.
