Neighbors, police search for right approach to clean up East Austin neighborhood
In part two of our series looking at the crime issues around 12th and Chicon streets in East Austin, neighbors and police look for the ways to combat crime in the area, which include “community policing” initiatives and prosecuting dangerous offender while setting up intervention programs for low-level drug dealers.
However, it will also require the mending of relations between community members and authorities.
