After surviving Bastrop fire, dog wins hearts at shelter as health improves
Meet Cinders. The border collie mix was found in rural Bastrop County as the Labor Day wildfires burned around him. He suffered burns on his rump, tail and back.
He had no tags, no collar, no microchip. He also had limited use of his hind legs.
After months of therapy and a new little cart that helps him get around, Cinders is available for adoption at the Austin city animal shelter. Read more about him.
