Question: When the zombies come

Hi Austin Statesman, I’ve never talked to a newspaper before, well, at least not one that’s talked back… this is exciting!

When the zombie apocalypse comes - as we all agree it is - where are the best places in Austin to go? The Austonian because it’s tall and you can fend bottleneck the zombies in a stairwell? Or perhaps Cabella’s because it’s stocked with guns and MREs (though EVERYONE’s going there!) I’m confident you know because your probably in league with the evil scientists creating the zombie potion now - all media outlets are.

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. Bats live in my hair!

Statesman: When the zombie apocalypse comes, I’m not sure if the Austonian would be my first choice. Yes, it’s tall, but maybe it’s too tall. You want to be on a building where you can still have target practice with the zombies. Personally, I would go with a place that’s elevated and has an open area like a school or Shakespeare’s on Sixth. They have a second-story patio, right?
